Braving the polar vortex (January 2014)

January was freezing.

This is just down the street from us (pic below is Gemma stood outside the Stock Exchange):

Tasty 'hand-pulled noodles' in Chinatown.

Our aqua farm is going well. Wheatgrass shots are nearly there.

We found a good dosa spot to keep the cold out:

Bloomingdales...

...and a funky Danish restaurant in Tribeca:

The Williamsburg flea market in Brooklyn was a great find, located in a huge warehouse during winter.

Bolivian sandwich with pork three ways....bacon, pulled pork and crackling. Mmmm

A salteña and hibiscus juice:

Bao (Japanese buns)

S'mores - the old campfire favourite.

Williamsburg has a great view looking back over Manhattan:

Blue Bottle Coffee - a well known Brooklyn coffee joint.

Passing through Union Square, we noticed some participants of the "No Pants Subway Ride". Interesting....

One evening was spent at a sushi class. There is more to it than you would think!
